How do I sync my study data across devices?

Behold uses Apple's iCloud (CloudKit) for cross-device sync. Sign in to iCloud on each device with the same Apple ID and install Behold from the App Store. Your highlights, notes, prayer requests, memorization cards, and studies will appear on each device. We don't operate any server in the middle — sync is between your devices and your private iCloud database only.

Where is my data stored?

Locally on each device, plus your private iCloud database if iCloud is enabled. Berean Studios cannot access your iCloud records. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions on your Apple device. Find "The Berean" and cancel from there. All billing is handled by Apple, not by us.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds are issued by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com and select your Behold purchase to request a refund.

Can I export my notes and highlights?

Yes. Open Settings → Submitted Reports → Export in the app to export annotations as JSON. We're working on additional export formats (PDF, Markdown) for a future release.

What translations are available?

The King James Version (KJV) and other public-domain translations are bundled in the app. Subscribers to API.bible's licensed corpus can access additional translations like ASV, LSV, NASB, NKJV, and BSB. Apply for the ESV is on our post-launch roadmap.

What's "The Berean" subscription?

"The Berean" unlocks image-based content (Visual References and image-backed schematics like Tabernacle and Temple). The full study toolset — annotations, prayer requests, memorization, reading plans, Strong's, cross-references, timelines, journeys, schematics, and 12,000+ passage notes — is free and always will be.

I lost my study data after reinstalling. What happened?

If iCloud was enabled when you used the app previously, your data should re-sync automatically once the app launches and you sign in to the same Apple ID. If iCloud was off, the data was on-device only and was removed when you uninstalled. Always keep iCloud sync on if cross-device safety matters to you.
